EXAMINATION SCHEMES: CREDIT BASED EVALUATION SYSTEM

Scheme Of Examination

The performance of the learners shall be evaluated into two components. The learner’s Performance shall be assessed by Internal Assessment with 25% marks in the first component by conducting the Semester End Examinations with 75% marks in the second component. The allocation of marks for the Internal Assessment and Semester End Examinations areas shown below:-

Under Graduate Courses:

A) Internal Assessment -25 %( B.M.S, B.M.M, B.B.I, B.A.F, B.Sc.IT)

i.e. 25 Marks (Passing Marks 10 out of 25)

B) Semester End Examination-75 %( B.M.S, B.M.M, B.B.I, B.A.F, B.Sc.IT)

i.e. 75 Marks (Passing Marks 30 out of 75)

I) Duration- These examinations shall be of 2.5 hours duration

C) Semester End Examination-100 % (F.Y.B.Com, S.Y.B. Com, T.Y.B.Com)

i.e. 100 Marks (Passing marks 40 out of 100)

I) Duration- These examinations shall be of 3 hours duration

D) Practical Examination-50 marks (B.Sc.IT)

Passing Standard

The learner stop as a course shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each course where the course consists of Internal Assessment and Semester end Examination.

The learners shall obtain minimum of 40% marks (i.e. 10 out of 25) in the Internal Assessment and 40% marks in Semester End Examination (i.e. 30 out of 75) separately to pass the course and minimum of Grade D, wherever applicable, to pass a particular semester. A learner will be said to have passed the course if the learner passes the Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination together. Marking, grading and passing standards for Internal Assessment, practical’s, theory are subject to University rules and regulations.

We declare result within 45 days on completion of exam.

Post Graduate Courses:

A) Masters in Information Technology- M.Sc.IT-PART I /II

  • Internal Assessment - 40 Marks
  • External Assessment - 60 Marks
  • Practical Assessment – 50 Marks

B) Masters of Commerce - MCOM-PART I /II

  • Internal Assessment - 40 Marks
  • External Assessment - 60 Marks

Performance Grading

The performance grading of the learners shall be TEN-point ranking system as under:

Verification Of Marks

Students of FY and SY can seek verification/revaluation/photocopy of answer books by making an application within a stipulated time of declaration of the said examination results along with the fee prescribed by the University.

Use Of Unfair Means At The Examination

Student if found guilty of using any unfair means during the examination will immediately attract attention under the Maharashtra Acts NO. XXXI of 1982. The board categorizes malpractices and the quantum of punishment thereof is as laid in the University Ordinance 5050.
