Here is the much-awaited announcement on registering for the Jan-Apr 2024 NPTEL course certification exam.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

NPTEL is an acronym for National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning which is an initiative by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for creating course contents in engineering and science. NPTEL provides E-learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Science and Humanities streams.

NPTEL is now offering online certification courses through its portal https://swayam.gov.in/nc_details/NPTEL There are 4wk, 8wk set 1 and 2 as well as 12wk courses.

• Enrollment to Courses is FREE.
• Enrollment to courses and exam registration can be done in ONLINE mode only. The link is available on NPTEL website (http://nptel.ac.in/).
• One may enroll in as many courses as they like.

• Exam Dates - Mar 23/24, 2024 and April 20/21/27/28, 2024.
• Possible Additional Exam dates - Mar 22, 2024 and April 18/19/22, 2024 **These dates cannot be choosen by the candidates and this will be decided by NPTEL as per the availability.
• For course specific exam dates, please check our Course List Here. 
• NPTEL Certification exams will be held during the forenoon and afternoon sessions on these dates.
• The entire process of filling up the application form and uploading of certificates/documents, etc. is in online mode only. The candidates should not send any hard copy of his/her application form/documents etc. to the NPTEL office.
• The payment of exam registration fees is through electronic mode.

Around 720 courses are available for the Jan - April 2024 semester

Please login to the exam registration form and you may select the availability of the exam dates in your exam city.

You can take 2 exams on each day. (Session time: 9am to 12pm; 2pm to 5pm)

Exams dates and session which will be mentioned in the hallticket cannot be changed.

1. The registration for the certification exam is open only to those learners who have enrolled in the course.
2. If you want to register for the exam for this course, login here using the same email id which you had used to enroll to the course in Swayam portal. Please note that Assignments submitted through the exam registered email id ALONE will be taken into consideration towards final consolidated score & certification.

Step 1: Select Jan - Apr 2024 Exam Form and Login using the same account used for registration of the course https://examform.nptel.ac.in

Step 2 : Your Exam dashboard shall display your login username. Click Go to personal info

Step 3 : Fill in Personal Information carefully

Step 4 : Upload Passport size photograph, Signature and Personal ID proof (such as Aadhar card, Voters ID etc)

Step 5: Remember to select NPTEL Local Chapter in the question “How did you know about these courses?”

Step 6: Fill in details for Student Specific Details (You may select “others” in questions of degree and department)

Step 7 : Select Course for appearing for exam

Step 8 : Select Exam City and click on “Confirm and Pay” at the bottom of the page

Step 9 : Review and finish the exam application by making payment. Mode of payment: Online payment - debit card/credit card/net banking/UPI. 

Note:  HALL TICKET:

The hall ticket will be available for download tentatively by  2 weeks prior to the exam date. We will confirm the same through an announcement once it is published.

FOR CANDIDATES WHO WOULD LIKE TO WRITE MORE THAN 1 COURSE EXAM:- you can add or delete courses and pay separately – till the date when the exam form closes. Same day of exam – you can write exams for 2 courses in the 2 sessions. Same exam center will be allocated for both the sessions. 

Data changes:

Last date for data changes: Feb 16, 2024 - 5:00 PM: 

We will charge an additional fee of Rs. 200 to make any changes related to name, DOB, photo, signature, SC/ST and PWD certificates after the last date of data changes.

The following 6 fields can be changed (until the form closes) ONLY when there are NO courses in the course cart. And you will be able to edit those fields only if you: -

REMOVE unpaid courses from the cart And/or - CANCEL paid courses

Note: Once you remove or cancel a course, you will be able to edit these fields immediately. But, for cancelled courses, refund of fees will be initiated only after 2 weeks.

Every domain will comprise Core courses and Elective courses. Once a learner completes the requisite courses as per the mentioned criteria, you will receive a Domain Certificate showcasing your scores and the domain of expertise.
